CONSOLIDATED B-24 D LIBERATOR
ETA : JUNE 2025
A09011 Consolidated B-24D Liberator — 1:72 scale
An iconic American four-engine heavy bomber of WWII.
The Consolidated B-24 Liberator was developed when the Army Air Corps asked Consolidated to build B-17s. Instead, Consolidated proposed designing a better aircraft. The XB-24 prototype first flew on December 29, 1939. Its design was very different, with shoulder-mounted thin wings, a deep but narrow fuselage, and a distinctive twin-tail.
Introduced into service in 1941, the B-24 was produced in vast numbers and operated in every theater of WWII, making a vital contribution to the Allied war effort.
